The opening night film was One Crazy Thing, directed by fellow Leicesterian Amit Gupta. Starring Ray Panthaki and Daisy Bevan, the heartwarming romantic comedy was praised as an insightful commentary on modern life in London and the hollow satisfactions of fame.

Other festival highlights include Panic, starring Jassa’s The Whale co-starDavid Gyasi (Interstellar, Cloud Atlas). This feature debut from director Sean Spencer is a blistering neo-noir tale of redemption and a cutting commentary on urban isolation.
